Bio
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Tyler School of Art with a concentration in ceramic arts. I have taught some classes for The Clay Mobile, Cheltenham Center for the Arts, as well as helped with a number of ceramic workshops, worked at a production pottery in Hawaii, worked as a display designer for K-NEX toy company, but the bulk of my career after graduating college has been at the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, a working history museum located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The museum produces historic reproductions of original tile of the Arts and Crafts movement. Henry Mercer, the founder of the tile works, patented a technique for concrete tiles in 1904. Made of concrete these tiles have a unique quality that makes them well suited for exterior architectural detail, landscape decoration, walls, floors, fireplace surrounds, hearths, and backsplashes. Outside of work I have begun to create my own tile designs. I hope you enjoy my artwork!
